Situated in the malaria-free Welgevonden Private Game Reserve, the Ekuthuleni Game Lodge offers guests serenity and luxury within the wilderness of South Africa's Limpopo Province. The gate of the game reserve can be reach in about a 3 hours drive from Johannesburg. Guests can also reach the lodge by charter or helicopter.
With its sweeping views of the savannah plains Ekuthuleni Lodge, meaning 'place of peace', is home to the Big Five as well as many species of antelope. With five exclusive en suite chalets, intimacy and privacy are provided to guests. Each suite provides magnificent views of the grasslands. Bathrooms are exceptional with both indoor and private outdoor showers.
Two daily game drives are conducted from the Lodge in the company of experienced rangers. Guests are provided with details of the flora, fauna and birdlife that abounds in and is so unique to the Waterberg. Watch the morning sun scribble intriguing patterns across the veld and contemplate the day's journey. Enjoy an early morning game drive and watch Africa awaken in front of your eyes. Then head home for a scrumptious breakfast before settling down for your midday siesta.
After sun-downer drinks, allow the darkness of the African bush to envelop you on your evening game drive. Nightlife abounds in the African bush and dangers lurk everywhere. Lions on the hunt and leopards stalking prey in the cover of darkness are truly magnificent sights to behold. Be a part of this in this truly spectacular reserve that is Welgevonden.

Directions to the Welgevonden Game Reserve:
• Take the N1 north to Pietersburg / Polokwane
• At the Kranskop toll gate, keep left to Nylstroom /
Marble Hall.
• At the T-junction turn left towards Nylstroom /
Modimolle and continue straight on for approximately
70km to Vaalwater / Mabatlane.
• Continue through Vaalwater / Mabatlane on the
Thabazinbi road for approximately 24km and turn left
at the Welgevonden Main Gate. (Do not turn left at
South gate or East gate.)
