Accommodation at Wooded Peaks:
Five exclusive luxury bush suites, each accommodating two guests en suite. Choice of queen sized bed or two single beds. Bathrooms have corner bath, twin basins, inside and outside showers and separate toilet. Bush suites are equipped with digital safe, bar fridge, overhead fan, fireplace, hairdryer, tea & coffee facilities and all amenities you expect to find in a five star Lodge.

A well-appointed library, bar, conference room, swimming pool, fully equipped gym and games room, boma, wine cellar, lounge area with tv, dstv & central fireplace, game watering hole and curio stand.

Summer months: October through to April, this is also normally the rainy season. The days are warm to hot, with evenings cool and pleasant. +-22 to 38 degrees Celsius.
Winter months: May to September, the days are mild with the evenings and mornings cool to cold. +-5 to 22 degrees Celsius.

Elevated over the Tshwene Valley and secluded in the malaria free Welgevonden Private Game Reserve, the Wooded Peaks Game Lodge offers a true African experience in the Limpopo Province, South Africa. This 5 star lodges provides luxury and exclusivity in the stylishly decorated lodge, located a 3 hour drive from Johannesburg.
The African adventure begins the moment guests cross the teak suspended bridge which leads into the main lodge area. Guests are welcomed with a refreshing cocktail and are shown around.
The main lodge area consists of a well-stocked bar, comfortable and cozy lounge and dining area with central fireplace, well-appointed library and conference room all leading onto the elevated patio where one can enjoy the magnificent views and unforgettable African sunsets.
Each of the five delightfully styled log cabin style bush suites provide accommodation for 2 guests. The en-suite bathroom provides magical bush views from the corner bath and inside shower. Also on offer are two hand crafted basins and a separate toilet, lovely soft towels and a range of bathroom amenities rounds off the bathroom.
The outdoor shower is a highlight of the guest rooms. Also provided in bush suites are: nightgowns, haidryer, bar fridge, tea / coffee facilities, mosquito nets, digital safe, electric blanket.
The kitchen at Wooded Peaks is situated in the main lodge area. Meal times are always a special occasion at the Wooded Peaks Game Lodge and there are several settings for the guests to enjoy their meal. The boma provides the ideal African dining experience under a canopy of stars, or the covered patio which provides endless views of the valley whilst enjoying the fascinating sounds of the wild at night, or the elegantly set dining area alongside the central fireplace.
The lodge offers breakfast / brunch after the morning drive, high tea in the afternoon and a sumptuous four course dinner at night. All meals are freshly prepared for the guests. Please advise any special dietary requirements before arrival.
The field guide conducts two game drives each day, an early morning and late afternoon drive. Every game drive is a unique experience as guests explore the reserve and its wealth of fauna and flora.
One is never sure of what to expect around each bend on this Big 5 reserve which offers an array of wildlife, bird species and reptiles. A bush walk can be arranged to view the historically significant bushman paintings in the Welgevonden Game Reserve.
Enjoy an early morning stop for tea / coffee in the bush to watch the sunrise and enjoy sundowners on the afternoon drive whilst watching an African bush sunset. The return drive to the lodge is a short night drive with the aid of spotlights.
The Welgevonden Game Reserve is a vast scenic wilderness of 40 000ha. This malaria free game reserve is home to the Big 5, cheetah, hippo, a variety of antelope, brown hyena, jackal, zebra, giraffe and over 250 different bird species.
For added enjoyment, the Wooded Peaks Lodge offers a fully equipped gym for the fitness conscious guests and a games room which includes a pool table, darts and a variety of board games. Guests can keep a watchful eye on the watering hole which is visited by a host of animals daily or relax around our rim flow pool surrounded by the magnificent Tshwene Valley.
