Jaci's Lodge offers twice-daily safari game drives into the stunning Madikwe Game Reserve. Each game drive lasts for roughly three-and-a-half hours. Jaci’s guides have a wealth of knowledge regarding the area, and they often share interesting snippets of information on local customs, flora, geology, history and geography during the game drives.
A fleet of rugged land cruisers offers premier game viewing along Madikwe’s trails. Morning drives include a hot chocolate, coffee, tea and home-baked rusks stop while the afternoon drive includes a sunset stop for drinks and snacks.
Jaci’s offers an on-site gym equipped with various equipment including treadmills and exercise bikes. The gym is perched under the shade of acacia trees, overlooking the river.
There are a small watering hole and wetland area within a short walk to the lodge which attracts a wealth of wildlife. On the banks surrounding this watering hole, a little hide is located in which guests can sit and observe the animals. There are daily scheduled flights from OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg direct to Jaci's Lodges. Private charters are also available on request.
Self-drive directions:
Jaci's Lodges Madikwe is an easy four-hour drive from OR Tambo International Airport. The quickest route from Johannesburg is to drive via Sun City, and then on to the Molatedi Gate in the south-western corner of the Madikwe Game Reserve.
Please contact the lodge directly when passing Sun City for more specific directions should you require them, and alert them so that they can prepare for the arrival. Please refuel at Sun Village/Zeerust as there is no fuel available in the reserve.
Please remember that although the gates into the Madikwe Game Reserve close at 21h00, guests are not permitted to drive unaccompanied in the reserve after 18h00. Should you expect to arrive after 18h00, please make prior arrangements for a lodge escort, an additional cost might be applicable per escorted trip.
Please DO NOT use GPS location systems to get to Jaci's Lodges - you will be advised on routes/roads that no longer exist.
