The Kalahari Plains Camp is beautifully located affording guests with scenic views of the immense pan with endless horizons.

The Plains Camp is located in a remote region of the Central Kalahari in Botswana. Kalahari Plains Camp highlights are the Kalahari black-maned lions and excellent cheetah viewing.

Kalahari Plains Camp reserve is the largest conservation area in Botswana and one of the largest in the world.

Fascinating cultural experiences are on offer which offers the chance of authentic insight into the African Bushman clans.

The camp features eight Luxury Canvas Tents with en-suite bathrooms. Each of these spacious and exclusive rooms offers a unique sleep-out bed from which to admire the moonlit, star-studded African nights.

The main area of this desert safari camp offers a welcoming lounge and a comfortable dining area. Guests are invited to enjoy relaxing afternoons by the swimming pool and deck. For electricity solar power is used. Inside temperatures remain comfortable due to the canvas walls.

All year round wildlife is abundant in this region of Botswana. However, with the summer rains, the desert comes to life. Hundreds of plains game including springbok and gemsbok graze the grounds. Lions can also be encountered here and one of the highest concentrations of cheetah in southern Africa and leopard are found here.

During the winter months, the Kalahari is a typical desert. The general game, carnivores, wildebeest, red hartebeest and steenbok and small predators can be seen here (black-backed jackal, Cape fox, honey badger and myriad mongoose species).

Safari drives and walks unlock the fascinating wildlife and unique culture of this region can be best experienced during the guided safari drives and the walking safaris. An informative "Bushman Walk" is led by camp staff members who originate from the San Bushman clans providing insights into their traditional lifestyles. Twice a day, guests may participate in the safari drives which take place in open 4x4 vehicles.
