St Lucia Lake Tours

South Africa has its first World Heritage Site in the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park.  Lake St Lucia is part of this park and provides an unflawed and elegant way to appreciate the area.

Hippopotamuses and crocodiles are permanent dwellers in the lake and various animals, including buffalo, kudu and a variety of antelope, live on the shoreline.  In the perfect weathers, flocks of pelicans and flamingos inhabit the lake, making St Lucia a bird watchers paradise.

Fishing

Close to the Natal coast line, the warm Mozambique current provides all-year-round fishing.  In close proximity to the lodge, keen-fishermen-guests are likely to catch Dorado, Sailfish, King and Queen Mackerel as well as Marlin.

South Africa’s only tiger-fishing venue is Lake Jozini.  The dam, set at the base of the impressive Lebomo Mountain range, plays hosts to various fishing competitions and guests have the opportunity to rent boats and equipment for boat trips.

Whale Watching

Game viewing of a different kind.  Seasonal, two-hour tours ensure that visitors to the area experience memorable moments with these tender mammals of the sea.

Nearby attractions
