Activities, Sports & Leisure

Swimming

Pilanesberg's Morokolo Lodge has a beautiful outdoor swimming pool to cool down from the summer heat.  There is also an intimate jacuzzi area – both the pool and jacuzzi are close to the bar, so a refreshing drink is never far away.

Game drives

The lodge provides a top of the range 10-seater open safari vehicle and conducts game drives in the early morning and early evening.  Under the care of a professional field guide, you will seek out resident wildlife and learn much about the ecology of the area.

Walking safaris

For an additional fee, venture out on foot and experience the bush on a much more intimate level as your guide points out animal tracks, various plants and other things less commonly seen from a vehicle.

Day Itinerary

As dawn breaks, an early morning wake-up call is followed by coffee, tea & rusks on the main deck.  An early departure in your open game vehicle is led by a Game Ranger, who shares their extensive knowledge of the bush with you.

Then back to the restaurant for a scrumptious breakfast, and the rest of the day is spent at your leisure. Your afternoon game drive, preceded by high tea, extends into the early evening to view seldom seen nocturnal species by torchlight.

You then return to freshen up and then either off to enjoy a gourmet buffet or 3-course dinner at our Reserve Restaurant (5 min drive away).
