Day Itinerary
A typical day at the Pezulu Tree House Game Lodge begins with an early morning wake up call at around 5 or 6 am. The exact time depends on the season. Guests then head out into the bush in an open 4x4 safari vehicle.
Experienced rangers share their knowledge of the African bush with the travellers. On Pezulu's 'Big 3" game drives, guests may observe rhinos, buffaloes, giraffes, cheetahs, zebras, warthogs, a variety of different antelopes, ostriches, birds and if one is lucky leopards and hyenas can also be encountered here.
During the "Big Five" game drives one can see elephants and lions. Guests may enjoy a relaxing spot in the bush for tea and coffee accompanied by biscuits. After the exciting game drives, guests return to the lodge for a hearty brunch.
The early afternoons are spent at leisure either in the comfort of the room, on the private balcony reading a book, listening to the sounds of the bush or relaxing at the swimming pool.
Delicious high tea at the Pezulu Game Lodge is served at around 3 pm before guests head out for the late afternoon/evening game drive.
The sunset can be admired with the view of the northern Drakensberg Mountains with snacks, and refreshing drinks are provided. The game drive is continued after this break in the search for nocturnal animals.
Guests return to the lodge at around 7 pm. After some time to freshen up, guests may enjoy an aperitif in the original treetop bar before the delicious dinner is provided by a log fire in the lodge's traditional boma.
