An inspired redesign elevates this Zambia safari experience with breathtaking riverside viewing to make for an unforgettable safari experience.

It lies about twelve kilometres upstream from the world-famous Victoria Falls. This safari camp in Southern Africa has been named after Dr David Livingstone's faithful friends Sussi and Chuma. Guests are accommodated in twelve Sussi tree-houses which are connected by wooden walkways. Guests may also choose to stay in two private Chuma houses, each with two bedrooms. The treehouse riverfront terraces provide a roof and screening for better privacy and shade.

The twelve treehouses are built into the canopy of ebony trees which line the river bank. The suites are air-conditioned and feature their private viewing deck from where magnificent views over the Zambezi River can be admired.

The two private Chuma Houses are ideal for families with young children travelling together. Each of these magnificent houses offers two en-suite bedrooms, a welcoming, spacious lounge and dining area as well as a private plunge pool. Guests enjoy the benefit of their private chef and house staff.

The Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma offers an exclusive wellness retreat where the guest is welcome to indulge in various spa treatments including massages, facials and manicures. The treatment room sits beautifully on the riverbank, offering guests up-close views of passing wildlife while being pampered.

With the Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma Camp being located on the edge of Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, travellers enjoy unforgettable wildlife encounters during their stay. Guests have the chance to enjoy a two-hour canoeing excursion on the Zambezi River which can either be scheduled for the morning or afternoon. Furthermore, the lodge provides a walking tour of Victoria Falls. During a Walking Safaris, one can experience the bush and ecosystem on foot in a different way.

Children of all ages are welcome at the Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma Lodge, Zambia. The family houses provide two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms making this ideal for families. Families enjoy a private outdoor deck with a private plunge pool. Guests with families have a private vehicle for activities and their chef. Private dining on the deck overlooking the Zambezi River can be arranged.

Menus which offer favourite children choices are available. Evening meals can be served earlier than the usual meal times. Children between the ages of 5 and 11 years may participate in the safari drives, at the sole discretion of the lodge manager. Children under 5 require the permission of the lodge manager and are subject to the booking of a private vehicle. Children over 12 years are allowed on walking safaris.
