Singita Sabi Sands

★ ★ ★ ★ ★

Singita Sabi Sand nestles in the game-rich Sabi Sand Reserve in the famous Kruger National Park of South Africa. The two luxurious game lodges at Singita Sabi Sand, namely Singita Boulders Lodge and Singita Ebony Lodge, offer unforgettable wildlife and safari experiences.

A stay at a lodge in South Africa is about many things: remarkable design, privacy and tranquillity, delicious food and wine combined with exceptional hospitality and ultimate comfort. The luxurious Ebony Lodge in the Sabi Sands offers guests sumptuous comfort for perfect relaxation and reflection. The lovely secluded thatched suites at the lodge are the epitome of elegance. The suites reflect an eclectic mix of colours, fabrics and textures.

A wonderful colonial feel with Egyptian linen, African throws, antiques and modern luxuries prevail here. Guests can observe Africa's untamed wildlife from the vast wooden deck as well as from the pool overlooking the Sand River. It is possible to watch elephants, buffalo and antelope grazing only metres away at any time of day.

The main lodge at lodge features a lounge and timber deck dining areas overlooking the Sand River, a bar area and traditional open boma, gymnasium, health spa, library and wine cellar. The magnificent lodge features a contemporary air of tranquillity. The naming of this lodge came about from the enormous boulder which sat right in the middle of the location where the wine cellar was to be built for the lodge. It was decided to build Singita's wine cellar around the boulder.

At the lodge in the Sabi Sands reserve of South Africa, guests have the opportunity to enjoy scenic views from most parts of the natural stone lodge. Boulders Lodge's lookout deck provides the ideal location from which to observe wildlife drawn to the Sand River. The quiet pond alongside the thatched lounge area at the lodge allows the light and the landscape inside to the wide-open spaces, where straw baskets, neutral shades and textured fabrics complement the comfortable wooden furniture.

The well-stocked library at the Boulders Lodge provides two computers and direct internet links. The main lodge at Boulders offers lounge and timber deck dining areas that overlook the Sand River, a bar area and traditional open boma, gymnasium, health spa, library and wine cellar.

Guests staying at the Ebony and Boulders Lodge experience delicious cuisine inspired by African flavours yet guided by the Western culinary tradition. Dining at any of the magnificent venues, be it the spectacular dining deck or the open-air boma, is an unforgettable and delightful experience. Complementing the mouth-watering menu is a unique bush wine cellar. Buried deep in the cool rock below Boulders, the wine cellar at the lodge boasts a truly unique and comprehensive range of fine South African and international wines.

The lodge provides several ways to view the magnificent wildlife ranging from the scenic panorama from the viewing deck of Singita Ebony and Singita Boulders Lodge, to the unforgettable guided game walks and game drives through the untamed African bush. The night game drives are pure enchantment, where rare sightings can be experienced.

Both the luxurious lodge as well as the lodge feature an exclusive wellness retreat which is complete with a fully-equipped gymnasium.  The tranquil spa sanctuaries at the game lodges provide a stunningly beautiful setting to restore the equilibrium of body and mind.

Ranging from facials, relaxing deep-tissue massages to a body polish, the professional spa therapists at the lodge assess guests specific requirements and offer personalised care through a variety of therapies and skincare treatments.
