Botswana Safari travellers have the opportunity to enjoy the tranquillity of five-star safari lodges in Botswana and Zambia of Southern Africa in combination with calming spa treatments, adventurous wildlife encounters and luxurious accommodation.

This exclusive eight-day Spa Journey includes housing at the Sanctuary Chief's Camp in the Moremi Game Reserve, the Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero Lodge in the Chobe National Park and at the Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma Lodge which nestles at the famous Victoria Falls in Zambia.

Day 01 - Sanctuary Chief's Camp, Moremi Game Reserve (Botswana): Overnight: Sanctuary Chief's Camp

On arrival at Maun Airport, a Sanctuary Retreats representative will meet and assist you to your onward flight. Depart Maun on a shared light aircraft flight to Sanctuary Chief’s Camp. The flying time is approximately 20 minutes. Kindly note, however, that all inter-camp flights are subject to multiple pick ups and drop offs en route to your destination which could affect the flying time.

Sanctuary Chief’s Camp is a luxury tented camp located on Chief’s Island in the exclusive Mombo Concession, part of the world-renowned Moremi Game Reserve. This area is known as the “predator capital” of Africa and is also home to large herds of elephant and buffalo. The twelve guest pavilions are hidden away in a sausage tree woodland that is characteristic of the area, they all have their private decks and indoor and outdoor showers. Generously draped mosquito nets and traditional ceiling fans also feature to ensure comfort at night. Sanctuary Chief’s Camp surrounds an ebony grove where a comfortable living area with an extensive wooden deck overlooking the plains has been built. The dining area encompasses a fire pit on the very edge of the Piajio plains so that guests can continue their wildlife viewing even when they are enjoying the most exquisite cuisine and wines for which Sanctuary Chief’s Camp is justly famous.

In addition to excellent wildlife viewing experiences, guests are also able to indulge in invigorating treatments at the Sanctuary Chief’s Camp treatment room, a must after a long day in the African bush. Everything about the camp and treatment room is environmentally friendly, including the Africology products which are available in the camp rooms and the treatment range that is used in the treatment room.

Day 02 - Sanctuary Chief's Camp (Botswana): Overnight: Sanctuary Chief's Camp

The day is at leisure to enjoy the wildlife viewing activities on offer and to enjoy a relaxing Signature Salutation treatment (2 hours) for both men and women. The Signature Salutation is the ultimate sensory experience, treating the body from scalp to toe, with anti-oxidant and immune-boosting indigenous products to replenish and revive tired muscles and minds in the Sanctuary Chief’s spa treatment room.

An optional extra activity - depart from Sanctuary Chief's Camp on this scenic 46-minute helicopter flight involving flying west of the safari drive routes towards the permanent delta, allowing you access to areas which are unreachable by vehicle or boat. Experience the unforgettable views that the helicopter has to offer. Guests have the option of the doors being removed for unlimited photographic opportunities. This is done with the utmost consideration for guest safety. The activity highlights the sheer enormity of the Okavango Delta exposing the many animal species of the region.
 

Day 03 - Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero, Chobe National Park (Botswana): Overnight: Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero

After breakfast, your guide will transfer you to the airstrip to depart Sanctuary Chief’s Camp on a shared light aircraft flight to Kasane. The flying time is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Kindly note, however, that all inter-camp flights are subject to multiple pick ups and drop offs en route to your destination which could affect the flying time.

On arrival at Kasane Airport, a Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero representative will meet and transfer you to the lodge. The transfer time is approximately 10 minutes.

A luxurious lodge in the heart of the African bush, Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero is the perfect spot to relax while enjoying the gourmet food that the lodge has become known for, lounging in the split-level swimming pool or unwinding with a pampering session in the only full-service spa on the Botswana safari circuit. Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero borders Chobe National Park, home to the largest remaining population of elephants in the world. Shaded by mature trees, Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero has just fifteen guest cottages, each with two showers - one inside and one outside, as well as a freestanding bathtub. Every cabin has a private garden, complete with hammock, the ideal spot to sip cocktails after a busy day of wildlife viewing and spa treatments or enjoy a private dinner served under the African sky.

The afternoon is at leisure to enjoy the wildlife viewing activities on offer and the excellent spa treatment for men and ladies our - Indoceane Treatment Journey (2hrs) - Indoceane takes you on a journey over four continents. Start with the Mediterranean sweet and savoury body scrub; then visit Egypt for a luxurious milk bath; receive an Indian body massage based on Ayurvedic principles, and finish your journey in China with a sublime body wrap for total well-being.

Day 04 - Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero Lodge (Botswana): Overnight: Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero Safari Lodge

The day is at leisure to enjoy the wildlife viewing activities on offer and the fantastic spa treatment for ladies we are offering a Vitamin Boost Facial (1hr): A nourishing facial using a rich vitamin and mineral cocktail to replenish the skin and boost your immune system. The perfect treatment for tired, stressed or well-travelled skin.

For men, we are offering an Ocean Men’s Facial Treatment (1hr): This hi-tech professional facial is based on relaxing massage movements and the application of a purifying mask diffusing all the goodness of the highly energising Algae Blue Vitale™, directly to the heart of the skin.

Day 05 - Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero Safari Lodge (Botswana): Overnight: Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero

The day is at leisure to enjoy the wildlife viewing activities on offer. Today's excellent complimentary spa treatment is a Balancing Scalp and Foot Massage (30 minutes): a traditionally relaxing and healing massage working on reflexology points of the feet to restore balance and pressures on the scalp sending you into a sedative state of relaxation.

Day 06 - Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma Lodge, Victoria Falls (Zambia): Overnight: Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma

Enjoy a morning wildlife viewing activity followed by breakfast.
You will transfer via a ferry crossing to Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma. The transfer time will be advised to you locally by the lodge management. Kindly note that all road transfers are subject to multiple drop-offs en-route to your destination which would affect the travelling time. As you will be entering Zambia, a single entry visa will be required and is obtainable at the point of entry at the cost of USD50.00 per person, payable in cash. The visa fee is subject to change at the discretion of the Zambian Government.

On arrival at Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma, a lodge representative will discuss the activities on offer during your stay. The afternoon is at leisure to enjoy the activities on offer.
Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma is just a short drive away from the world-famous Victoria Falls. The lodge itself is an exclusive haven in the heart of Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park which, in addition to the mighty roar of the Victoria Falls, also boasts a wide variety of game as well as countless opportunities for adventure. Built on two levels on a dramatic bend in the Zambezi, the main lodge is perched in giant ebony trees. Guests can relax in the swimming pool, or enjoy a drink in the bar. The twelve air-conditioned tree houses are connected by wooden walkways, and all enjoy superb views over the river. Also, there are two private houses available. Each has two bedrooms, a dining area and deck with plunge pools, as well as a private chef and house staff.

Guests staying at Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma can indulge in a range of spa treatments - including massages, facials and manicures - while enjoying spectacular views over the Zambezi River. The treatment room has been constructed on stilts on the riverbank, providing guests with up-close views of African wildlife while they are being pampered by a trained Africology spa therapist. Where else in the world could you enjoy relaxing manicures and pedicures while watching a pod of hippos float past.

Day 07 - Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma Lodge (Zambia) :Overnight: Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma

The day is at leisure to enjoy the activities on offer, enjoy a sundowner cruise on the Mighty Zambezi River and watch an African sunset. A spa treatment in our treatment room set on the riverbank of the Zambezi River, enjoy a relaxing Manicures (45 minutes) and pedicures (1hr) for both male & female on the front deck of the treatment room listening to the sounds of bird calls and the river running.

Day 08 - Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma Lodge (Zambia)

The morning is at leisure to enjoy the activities on offer, and afterwards please meet the lodge representative in the reception area for your transfer to Livingstone Airport. Your transfer times will be advised to you by locally.
